Deca Investments AIFM, integrates ESG criteria into its decision-making process, recognising the importance of being a responsible investor. We outline how we consider each criterion below:
- Environmental criteria examine how a company operates as an environmental steward. This includes looking at company emission levels, use of energy resources and extends to upholding food security standards.
- Social criteria explore to the way companies manage their relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and the communities in which they operate. Investment for social purposes specifically takes into account the way issues such as workers’ rights, consumer protection, and gender equality are safeguarded in each business.
- Governance considers issues related to company leadership, business ethics, executives' fees, labour relations, and internal controls.
The participation of DECA Investments AIFM, in the Boards of Directors of the companies it has invested in, contributes to the effective adoption and active consideration of ESG criteria to align businesses with wider environmental and social goals.
